FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about Urbiflow, the technologies we work with and how a project runs.

What does Urbiflow do?

Urbiflow is an international company in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). We provide engineering, project management, studies and system integration for traffic signal control, weigh-in-motion, smart mobility and parking, mobility data platforms, and road safety and enforcement.

Which technologies and standards do you work with?

We are technology-independent: we select, configure and integrate equipment from leading manufacturers, such as traffic signal controllers, weigh-in-motion sensors, cameras, ANPR and parking sensors, and connect it to central systems using open standards and protocols such as DATEX II, NTCIP, OCIT, UTMC, MQTT and OCPI.

Who do you work for?

Our clients are public bodies such as cities and road or highway authorities, concessionaires and public-private partnerships, and contractors that need ITS design, delivery or commissioning within larger civil works.

Where is Urbiflow active?

We work internationally. Our offices are in Halle (Belgium) and Casablanca (Morocco), and we serve markets in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Can you support a project from study to maintenance?

Yes. We cover feasibility studies and traffic modelling, design and specifications, procurement and project management, integration, testing and commissioning, and maintenance with agreed service levels (SLAs).

Do you carry out traffic studies and modelling?

Yes. We plan and analyse traffic counts, origin–destination and travel time surveys and junction capacity studies, and we build calibrated strategic and microscopic models to test scenarios, such as roadworks, events or a new circulation plan, before anything is built.

How do you approach the cybersecurity of ITS systems?

We harden field equipment, networks and central systems as part of the design and integration, and we support clients with NIS2 compliance.

How can I discuss a project or request a quote?

Use the contact form on this website or write to info@urbiflow.com. Tell us about the location, the systems involved and your timeline, and we will come back to you.
